Your guilty pleasure?

Nicki Minaj. In fact, I’m not guilty about that at all…

Best thing about being on the road?

The company. We don’t really get to chat to each other going around the track so it’s nice to spend more time getting to know everyone.

How many colours have you dyed your hair?

Ooooo, definitely more than the McFly girl! Pretty much the whole rainbow: red, green, blue, orange, pink, purple, brown and blonde. And then there’s the combinations within, that’s the exciting part. Although I’ve never dyed my hair bright yellow, so I guess that’s the lacking colour.

Your favourite colour so far?

Green, because it really annoyed people. Charline Joiner honestly just hated it, she couldn’t understand why you would ever have green hair and I guess I find that quite enjoyable!

What was your first bike?

A little pink bash around, that had a pink basket and a bit at the back for my dolly. My cousin has subsequently spray painted it black, but I still think it has the pink basket on it!

What is your favourite bike of all time?

I guess my Dolan Forza, which kind of symbolically in my mind was when I became serious about cycling. I said to myself “this is a really good frame to make a good rider so get out and ride it Katie”. I liked that bike a lot.

If you weren’t a pro cyclist what would you be?

I’d like to be a coach. And I guess everyone has the dream of opening a cake shop and somehow not getting fat. I’d be one of them…

What is your favourite book of all time?

I have two! The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Catch-22.

What is your overall goal in life?

I’m too scared to think too far ahead! But at the moment my one goal is getting to Rio and being selected for the Great Britain team.

What is the best thing ever?

My house and my awesome house mates!
