Your biggest rival on the road?
In the UK domestic scene, I guess Laura (Trott) because Lizzie (Armitstead) doesn’t tend to do a lot of the home races. So Laura will be kicking our heads in at the Elite Road Series.
What will people be surprised to find out about you?
That I’m actually quite a sensible and have a tame calm soul.
Would you prefer to always lose or never play?
Always lose, you can always get small victories.
Best thing about being Scottish?
Living in Scotland! And the people.
If you could have a cup of tea with anyone in the world dead or alive who would it be?
I reckon it would be Caitlin Moran, but maybe we would have a coffee liquor rather than a tea…
Tattoos or piercings?
I like how piercings are chop and change, but tattoos give a bigger picture.
Your favourite thing about cycling?
The competition.
Your least favourite thing about being a pro cyclist?
The days when you don’t feel like riding your bike when you know that two years ago that’s everything you wanted to do.
Does your housemate, Elinor Barker, have any annoying habits you would like to reveal to the world?
She somehow always gets a blob of toothpaste in the sink. She will brush her teeth and it gets all foamy but when she spits it out there’s always one blob sitting there. If I could get rid of that blob, she would be the perfect housemate!
Do you have any annoying house habits that drive her bonkers?
I don’t like pulling hair out of the shower drain so when it gets on my hands when I’m washing my hair, I just stick it to the wall! Every once in a while I forget to pull it off and there’s just a furry blue ball chilling on there…
