The reigning world and European champion in the women’s team pursuit, Katie Archibald is a great inspiration for younger riders.
In 2014 the Scot won first place in the Milk Race in Nottingham, as well as first in the points race in the Commonwealth Games, with 4th in the individual pursuit, and fifth in the scratch race and road time trial.

It is also Archibald’s quirky personality we love, illustrated brilliantly in her blog and Instagram feed.

Though she does refer to Destiny’s Child as “classic music” in her blog, making some of us feel rather old.
Archibald was recruited by British Cycling’s Olympic Development Academy in 2013 after moving to cycling from swimming in 2011. She has since graduated to BC’s Olympic Performance Pathway, and is set to represent Britain in Rio 2016. We can’t wait to see her out there.
