Life-Saver Saddles
SeatyLock:
Introducing the first saddle that locks your bike, the Seatylock is one of the coolest bike gadgets we’ve seen and have been waiting for, for a long time.
There’s always been the issue with the weight of locks, of course you want to invest in a heavy, durable lock to prevent your bike being stolen but then you need to carry it around with you to avoid that from also being targeted by thieves. Although wearable locks seem like a great idea, arriving at your destination covered in oil and dirt doesn’t seem to much fun either.
Having an extremely simple but intelligent concept, within 30 seconds your bicycle saddle effortlessly turns into a sturdy one meter lock, which fits a wide range of set posts and, comes complete with anti drilling rivets. Designed in two models, ‘trekking’ for a lighter and narrower saddle, and ’comfort’, for people who spend longer in the saddle!
Currently seeking funding on Kickstarter. More info: Seatylock.
BioLogic PostPump Seatpost:
Ok, so besides the long-winded name of the product, this actually looks like an extremely useful gadget.
Long gone are the days you find yourself stuck with a flat tyre, wishing you could magically appear one into thin air! Although there are many handy pocket sizes pumps available, you can now have one less thing to worry about carrying.
The BioLogic PostPump is a powerful bicycle pump that sneakily fits inside your bike’s seatpost. Using the seat and a nifty floor stand for control and support, the pump also has an integrated aluminium adapter that fits all Presta and Schrader valves. Genius!
Price: £31.00, available from Evans.
