A Collection of the Coolest Bike Gadgets
Ok, so however unappealing natural energy gels may look, don’t knock them until you’ve tried them! This one’s has a lovely distinct chia taste, but isn’t too over powering or sickly like most energy gels.
Our natural energy gels are super easy to make, don’t require a large amount of ingredients and settle much better in your body than shop bought ones. Plus, we’ve even been able to cram one of your 5-a-day in there!
To store your home-made natural energy gels, you can use freezer bags or buy your own reusable squeeze tubes. And whilst you’re here, have a look at some of our other gels, including our Pear Delight, Apple Cinnamon and Strawberry-Chia Gelly Cubes.
Ingredients
- 3-4 dried dates
- 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 tablespoon of cherry juice
Method
Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.
You can keep adding more of the cherry juice and coconut oil if the mixture gets too thick and more dates if the mixture becomes too runny.
Finish by transferring the natural energy gel into a freezer bag or squeeze tube and pop into the fridge or freezer until desired!
