We’re proud to be hosting a live Twitter hour with Wiggle High5 pro cyclist Lucy Garner early next week.
Garner will be logging on to the Total Women’s Cycling Twitter account at 1pm on Monday (16 May) to answer any questions readers have around training, nutrition – or anything that will help them improve in their cycling.
The double Junior Road Race Champion was crowned Best British Rider in the inaugural Women’s Tour, where she led Team GB.
Having moved to Wiggle High5 for this season, Garner told us at the start of the season she expected to play a support role for the team at most races, but has already had some great results. Most notably, she came second only to the experienced sprint legend Kirsten Wild in a charge for the line at the Tour de Yorkshire last month.
Pro Tips: Ride Preparation with Lucy Garner

An ambassador for children’s charity, Dreams Come True, she’s also working with them to encourage people all over the country to sign up to ride the Prudential Ride London sportive and raise money for a good cause.
If you want to ride but missed a place in the ballot, Dreams Come True have a few places available, and Garner is keen to help riders prepare for the 100 mile sportive that carries thousands over Surrey’s beautiful countryside every year.
The charity works hard to grant the wishes of children with life-limiting conditions, and over the last 25 years they have helped well over five thousand children as well as their family and carers. They do everything from organising a family weekend away to sourcing a specially made tricycle so they can go outside and play with their friends.
So, if you’ve got a question for Lucy, then log on to twitter at 1pm and tweet @ttlwomencycling using #AskLucyGarner to get her expert answer. Got a question, but not a twitter account? Post it in the comments below and we’ll ask it for you!
