Reviewed: KASK Mojito Road Cycling Helmet

Stylish, aero and ponytail friendly, it's the KASK Mojito helmet

Finding the right cycling helmet can be a total headache – literally.

Of course, protection is paramount when looking for a new lid and one brand to pride themselves on using cutting-edge technology and innovation is Italien brand, KASK. KASK recognise that there isn’t a great deal of difference between men’s and women’s heads, other than size. With that in mind, KASK offers a wide variety of sizes to suit all riders.

KASK turn their attention to women’s cycling

We’ve gotten out mitts onto the new KASK Mojito road cycling helmet and we’ve been testing it out over the summer. Here’s how we got on…

The KASK Mojito model weighs just 220g (size medium) which is 10g lighter than the MET Rivale.

The Mojito has been designed with a close fit, 26 well-paced vents, an eco-leather chin strap and sanitized treated fabric padding on the inside. Subtle features include reflective technology for low-light conditions and incredible adjustability from the cradle and retention fit system.

The KASK Mojito road cycling helmet is available in sizes small to x.large (from 46 to 64 cm) and what’s more impressive is that there are 22 colours and designs to choose from!

KASK Mojito: reviewed

This is my first foray into the KASK realm but I had only heard great things about their products so expectations were high.

My first impressions of the Mojito were that it was indeed lightweight with a slim profile. It doesn’t feel bulky, nor does it sit too round on the head which can sometimes give you that annoying bobble-head syndrome.

The chin strap is thick and the eco-leather insert is soft against the skin. However, it’s quite stiff and takes some time to soften and break in, so until it does, you have a jaunty oblong chin strap to fuss with, although, this is hardly a feature to worry about.

One thing that really impressed me was the adjustability in the cradle and the ability to pull down the retention system to make the head feel comfortably nested. What’s better is that there is ample room to pull your ponytail though without your hair getting caught or mangled within the boa.

Overall, I’m pretty pleased with the function and comfort of the KASK Mojito road cycling helmet and with so many great colours and designs to choose from, you can be sure to find the right lid for you.
