Kinesis Launches Stunning All-Terrain Adventure Bike

Find your adventure this summer on the new Tripstar AT gravel bike from Kinesis

The summer adventure season is at our doorstep and we’re ready to roll out on the less travelled – and gravelled – paths further afield. With touring-specific luggage, kit and bikes hitting the market, you can be sure to have the time of your life on two wheels.

10 Reasons to go cycle-touring this summer

The Tripster AT is the new adventure bike from Kinesis UK. After much success with their titanium Tripster ATR, Kinesis figured: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Designed with more tyre clearance, the Tripster AT is far more affordable than its Ti older brother.

The increased tyre clearance will allow the Tripster AT to comfortably fit 700 x 45c or 650b x 52c tyres. This option offers more versatility when riding off-road whilst remaining light on the smoother sections of your adventure.

The frameset is available in two new colours: Arran Blue and Seeon Yellow. The frame has been constructed to include multi-port cable routeing so that both mechanical and Di2 groupsets are compatible. There is three bottle cage mounts, 27.2 seat post diameter to improve rider comfort and both rack and mudguard mounts. These features help make this bike ideal touring companion.

The Tripster AT is engineered from Kinesis’ own lightweight hydroformed “Kinesium” alloy tubing and CEN tested to pass the tough mountain bike frame standard. It boasts new frame profiles designed for better fitting of bike packing bags and withstanding the rigours of heavy off-road abuse when the frame is loaded for travel. It is a truly versatile frameset that is as at home on the commute as it is UK bridleways or the biggest of rough-road adventures. It’s a bike to inspire the fast-growing desire for bike packing and offers true versatility for self-build projects, upholding the Kinesis UK moto “Dream-Build-Ride”.

The Tripster AT is available to pre-order with first stocks in the UK expected in the second week of July. Available in seven sizes, you’ll be sure to find a suitable size to start touring on. The alloy frameset comes with a 142×12 Thru-axle, colour-matched full carbon Tripster 12mm Thru-axle fork, integrated tapered headset, seat clamp which retails for £700. There is a complete build option which sees the alloy frame, SRAM Rival 1 group-set and Kinesis UK’s Crosslight CX Disc.v4 wheels which retail for £1700.
