This event saw the debut race for Manon Carpenter since she joined Radon Factory Race Team, and managed to secure herself a solid second place position. Tahnée Seagrave was just 0.2 seconds behind the reigning queen of the mountain in her seeded run, but a wipe out in her final race had the young athlete carted off to hospital for a few stitches.
Her first race back since World Champs last year, and Rachel Atherton sailed her Trek Session home to the top spot of the podium. It’s great to see the Rainbow Stripe curse hasn’t taken a hold.
