What’s New: Sportful Body Fit Pro Evo and Diva W Collection

Find out what's new from Sportful for Spring/Summer '18

As we head into the warmer months of the year, we’re spoilt for choice with new kit hitting the bike stores. Sportful has outdone themselves this year with two new women’s collections; Body Fit Pro Evo and the Diva W. We take a look at both in a more detail…

When it comes to the Body Fit Pro Evo collection, Sportful has nailed it again. From the lay-flat jersey cuffs with their laser cut finish to the embossed airflow on the bibs, the kit has been made and developed alongside the Trek-Drops cycling team with high-intensity riders in mind and thus, even the smallest details considered and executed to achieve great looking kit that performs at a professional level.

Sportful Body Fit Pro Evo Jersey

Whilst the multi-fabric construction and minimal stitching offers a clean look and compliments Sportful’s women’s specific design, there is more to this selection of fabric that meets the eye.

Yes, each panel is lightweight but the marked difference between the density of the ‘pores’ is set to achieve optimum moisture transfer where it is needed most. A more stretchy fabric is used on the shoulders to offer greater aerodynamic qualities, comfort and movement. The elastic waist is complimented with a silicone grip which is applied in a minimalistic dot format on both the waistline and the cuffs to keep the jersey in place without detracting from the aforementioned lay-flat elastic cuff and laser cut finish.

The perfect balance between pro and practical, the 3 pockets at the rear of the jersey are deep enough to stuff all the essentials in and are subtly complimented with reflective accents.

Sportul Body fit pro shorts

Like the jersey, the body fit pro shorts are designed with pro riders to meet their needs. The embossed aero-flow compresses the legs to improve performance and muscle support and the all-flat lock stitching further enhances the aerodynamic qualities.

Similar to the Body Fit Pro jersey, the shorts offer a seamless hem with a dot silicone grip keeping the shorts in place without the appearance of the dreaded ‘sausage leg’. The TC Pro Womens pad is super comfortable; offering higher density on the sit bones and lower density around the groin it increases the comfort without compromising on movement or causing any chafing.

Sportful Diva W Collection

Clean and appealing when it comes to style, Sportfuls Diva collection looks great, and with pro-level fabrics and technical construction it certainly doesn’t hold back on performance.

Sportful Diva W Bibshort

Blue! It’s so nice to wear a colour other than black. Stylish and different, the design isn’t too left field for those of us that might be a little less daring when it comes to colour, but definitely adds a little spring to your step so to speak.

At a slightly lower price point in comparison to the Body Fit Pro bib short, the Diva W Bibsorts also uses the TC Pro Womens pad and the AeroFlow Compress for smooth aerodynamic muscle support. The slightly heavier 220g lycra provides a little extra support and the laser cut hems are further complimented with flat-lock stitching to optimise both the comfort and fit.

Sportful Diva W Jersey

The fabric used on the Diva W jersey is a bit more uniform than the BodyFit Pro but adopts the same DryPro microfiber fabric of the rear panel of BodyFit Pro the Diva W jersey to provide optimum wicking throughout.

A slightly more forgiving cut, albeit still anatomically designed provides all-day comfort for long days in the saddle or for anyone aiming for a more leisurely ride. Again the silicone gripper on the waist stops the jersey riding up and the 3 rear pockets will hold enough snacks and spares to keep you going all day.

Sportful Fiandre Light Norain

Not too bulky the Fiandre Light Norain jacket will fit into your pocket without a problem so is perfect for those chillier starts or mixed forecasts.

Breathable but so not completely waterproof, the Fiandre Light Norain jacket offers light rain protection without that boil in the bag feeling. The flexible windproof fabric on the front shoulders and around the upper arms offers further protection from the elements without constricting your riding position whilst the women’s specific cut keeps you looking tip-top even in the bad weather! The 3 rear pockets allow you to easily access your bits and bobs without fighting the jacket to get to your jersey pockets as is often the case with other cycling jackets.

Sportful Hotpack 6 W Vest

Not a lover of gilets and so initially sceptical about the Hotpack 6 W Vest, I eat my hat; the Hotpack 6 W vest has since initiated a U-turn in my opinion.

The slightly elastic construction with wind protection keeps you warmer than you might expect, and along with its compact size, this is the perfect rear pocket garment for any of those longer descents or chilly spring mornings. The water-repellent fabric will shed light rain whilst the rear ventilation prevents any heat build-up and associated discomfort. The minimal seams on the front further prevent the rain getting in and the high collar offers that little extra comfort and protection. Of course, rain often brings grey skies (or vice versa), but the reflective strips at the rear will of the vest keep you visible and remain stylish in line with the kit as a whole.

The Sportful Hot Pack 6 W Vest is available here for £70.
