Instantly putting on the Hincapie Power Tour Vest I felt smart, professional & ready to ride!
Straight out of the packaging this product felt good. It is made of a lovely soft wind resistant material, with vented panels under the arms, and a lighter weight material on the back. This aided temperature control, as well as providing a nice contracting colour way.
Two really nice deep rear pockets swallowed my iPhone, couple of chewy bars, and arm warmers when the sun made an appearance. There is no zipped rear pocket, but as these are so deep I was unconcerned about that.
The zip is great! The puller is oversized in chrome with a Hincapie logo shape. It is really easy to find and open one handed with gloves while riding. Something I struggle with on many riding tops.
The nice high collar and full length zip meant it stopped any unruly drafts from sneaking in. A rubberised strip at the rear stopped the vest riding up.
My only reservation was the colour – I’m not a person for white. Saying that, I felt really smart in it, and such good quality that I soon forgot the colour. The fit was great. I’m a size 12, and the medium fitted like a dream, although was a ‘roadie’ fit.
Worn straight out of the packet on a two day road ride in the Peak District it was perfect for temperature control, while riding and enjoying post ride refreshments!
VerdictIt feels very smart, professional and high quality.
ProReally nice fit.
Nice sized rear pockets and thoughtful oversized full length front zip.
ConWhite would not be my colour of choice, & I wonder if it stays as smart and white after a couple of outings.
