Wiggle has updated its already popular app so that customers can now view and book events, and gain ‘sneak peaks’ into upcoming Black Friday deals.
As well as being a dominant online retailer, Wiggle promote swim, bike, run, obstacle and multisport events in the UK. Cycle events span road, mountain bike and cyclocross disciplines and are countrywide, taking place throughout all four seasons.
The app now features an ‘events catalogue’ which allows customers to look at what’s available on the go – browsing by date, location and discipline when using an Apple or Android phone. Events can be viewed in a list, or via an interactive map, and diary dates can be saved to the users personal calendar.
If shopping is higher on your agenda than normal at this time of year, you wouldn’t be alone. Almost all (if not all) of the major retailers will be offering Black Friday deals on the final payday before Christmas, and Wiggle is no exception. They’ll also be providing exclusive previews of their Black Friday deals on the app. Users will see the deals 24 hours before the rest of the world gains access.
The Wiggle app launched last year, and already accounts for 17 per cent of Wiggle’s mobile sessions in the UK. It’s available in 12 territories including China, Japan and Australia.
