Join Marianne Vos and friends to paint Utrecht yellow this 12 July as the #WeOwnYellow festival returns for a second year.

#WeOwnYellow offers you the opportunity to ride with some of the world’s top riders in a completely non-intimidating environment as part of the movement to increase participation and awareness of women’s cycling.

On 12 July women from around the globe will gather in Utrecht in Holland taking to the roads on one of four rides – the 45KM DJ ride, the 85KM LED ride or the 145km QOM ride. The rides will then be followed up with a festival atmosphere in the afternoon and evening with fashion, music, culture and art all on offer. It is tipped to be the ultimate Tour de France Grand Depart Utrecht after party.

So if this sounds like a whole lot of fun to you why not round up a bunch of the girls and make a weekend out of it?

The Rides:

45KM DJ RIDE – Start from 11:30 onwards

Follow our beat-boxes on a bike. Our ride leaders will lead you round our course whilst enjoying some great music. This is guaranteed to be great fun. There will be different groups for different speeds and everyone is welcome.

85KM LED RIDE – Start from 10:00 onwards

In groups of about 50 or 60 girls you can enjoy a lovely route guided by professional ride leaders. A refreshment stop at halfway will give you plenty of recovery time.

145 QOM RIDE – Start from 08:30 onwards

For those who fancy a challenging route we will be taking on some of the Dutch ‘climbs’. There will be some Strava sections where you can compete against Marianne or just each other. There will be several ride leaders to help those who wish to ride in groups but the fully signed route will enable those of you who wish to blaze round!
