British brand Shutt Velo Rapide, founded in 2009 during a ride by two avid cyclists, not only design high quality cycle clothing, they also back women’s cycling. What’s not to like!
Shutt Velo Rapide, the British cycle clothing manufacturer, has announced that it will be title sponsor for the Three Days of Bedford Women’s International Stage Race taking place, this weekend on 4th – 6th May 2013 in Bedford.
Shutt’s support of women’s cycling is not a new, overnight idea. Squadra Donne, Shutt’s official women’s cycling team, that they’ve been supporting since 2009, will also be taking part in the three-day, five-stage road race.
Managing Director of Shutt Velo Rapide, Peter Bragg said: “We are delighted to be headline sponsor for this weekend’s women’s stage race in Bedfordshire. We’re expecting a great turn out, and Shutt is a firm supporter of women’s cycling in Britain, so to combine both this event and Squadra Donne’s participation makes perfect sense.”
Shutt has provided its renowned high quality jerseys for the event, which is a core fixture on the annual UK Women’s cycling calendar. They’ve specifically designed four new jerseys in Red, Yellow, Green and White to support teams and individuals.
Shutt Velo Rapide has been producing elegant, fashionable, British hand-made cycle wear since 2009 with their main production facility located in Leicester and headquarters in Oxfordshire.
Have a look at their women’s collection, not a flowery jersey of lycra shorts that look like padded hot pants in sight. Shutt really have produced some wonderfully simple stylish clobber, a world away from the gaudy, swathed in logos, synthetic gear that pollutes the majority of cycle shops nowadays.
