The London-based cycle clothing company Vulpine have announced details of a new project with Sir Chris Hoy: a whole new brand of performance cycling apparel called HOY Vulpine.
And, in what is excellent news for female cyclists (and probably all of womankind), the range will have an equal number of items for men and women. There will also be a kid’s range in 2016.
The brand will include bib shorts (£79.99) and race jerseys as well as the more casual commuter clothing that Vulpine is known for, like tops and shorts. Items will be stocked at Evans Cycles, in-store and online, and on the Vulpine website.
We asked Vulpine founder Nick Hussey why he thought having a decent women’s range was important, to which he replied: “Because many brands don’t. It really freaks me out. Why not?!”
The range will feature “simple, classic designs and colour palette, with a heavily researched and developed women’s fit. That’s not just chest, waist and hips; but neck, arms, wrists, leg, ankles, the lot.”
HOY Vulpine will launch at the 2015 London Bike Show in February, with Sir Chris Hoy attending the HOY Vulpine stand on Saturday 14th February. That’s Valentine’s Day. Wink wink, Sir Hoy.
