Trek’s Chris Garrison will be hosting three of her popular Ladies Nights at Trek stores in March and April.
Trek UK media maven and TotalWomensCycling.com contributor Chris Garrison has probably delivered more seminars focussed on helping women get more out of cycling than anyone else in the bike industry. If you live in Coventry, Chester or Letchworth, these events are well worth an evening of your time.
“Ladies’ Night is an informative event designed to provide insight into some of the things that can make bike riding a more enjoyable experience for women,” says Chris. “We’ll discuss why differences in male and female anatomical structure mean we feel different types of pain while riding, and what can be done to correct that.”
Inevitably, there will be lots of talk of seats. “We’ll go over how to make sure you have the right saddle for you, and explain the three variables in the saddle comfort equation,” says Chris
The other thing Chris has found that women want to know about is “one of the most essential skills you need to have when riding: how to fix a flat tyre.” That’s on the agenda too, then, though of course whether your male friends find your new skill disappointing is something you’ll just have to cope with.
And if you’re not sold yet, Chris says you get, “All of this, and the promise of wine and chocolate.”
