Fork Recall on Racelight T Carbon Forks

Upgrade bikes have issued a recall on a selection of bike forks issued between 2003 and 2009.

The affected forks are the Full Carbon Racelight T, 12K Racelight T and Racelight T Full Carbon. They all have one of these logos on the side of the fork blade:

The company state that there is a possibility of bonding failure between fork crown and steerer tube, and this could result in loss of control or a fall.

Indentification

Upgrade bikes have provided an diagram which demonstrates the characteristics of the affected forks:

They have also been clear that those NOT affected include forks that:

• Have short drop brakes [39 – 51mm]
• Have a tapered steerer
• Are full carbon (no alloy parts)
• Are full alloy
• Have an alloy steerer tube
• Have no mudguard eyelets
• Bear the Kinesis or Kinesis UK logos
