Young cyclists enthusiast, Lara Ebrey, is training hard so that she can tackle the epic 55 mile Taff Trail this summer. Following in the footsteps of her older brother, Lara is keen to show other children what they’re capable of doing.

Inspired by her brother and father, Lara wanted to set herself a goal for the summer and that’s to complete the gruelling mountain trail in just one day. Lara’s father, and owner of Little Pro cycling, is supporting her training as the Brecon to Cardiff route is no easy feat.
“Even an adult would need to be fit to complete the Taff Trail and at the current pace we’re setting it means being in the saddle for 7.5 hours not including any stops, so training over the next few months is crucial.”
With training still underway, Lara is managing to cover 25 miles at an average speed of 7mph, but with such a long distance to cover for the challenge, the focus is on pace.
