Katy Curd’s New Short Video “Raw”

Here's the new release from British Downhill Athlete, Katy Curd

British Elite Downhill rider, super coach and all-round badass, Katy Curd has released a short riding video today. One of many we hope! Shredding through the muddy trails in the Forest of Dean, Katy shows us the fun and freedom you can achieve on two wheels.

“Rain, mud, bikes and a whole load of fun!”

Katy Curd left the downhill racing scene in 2006 to pursue her career in 4X. After dominating that field and picking up the World title in 2014, she’s now back in the Downhill scene, where she rides amongst the favourites such as Manon Carpenter and Rachel Atherton.

Her achievements as an athlete are impressive, but what makes Katy a favourite of ours is her dedication to promoting and encouraging female riders. If Katy isn’t racing, then she’s probably coaching at the Pedalabikeaway, or in Spain with Pure Mountains. She’s a fountain of biking wisdom and she’s happy to share this with the world, all the high points like winning the 4X World Championships, and the low points like snapping her arm in France.

This video shows Katy doing what she does best, riding hard and fast in the forest. Aptly titled “Raw”, this video isn’t masked with heavy filters, upbeat music and slo-mo effects. It tells the real story of mountain biking with the rustle of leaves, the splashing mud, and the sounds of the bike being put through its paces. Keep them coming, Katy!
