Should cycling be part of the National Curriculum? It’s been a topic of hot debate for quite some time. With so many other sports taught in schools, why is cycling not one of them?
All children receive cycle training in the Netherlands and around half of all children cycle to school, compared to a mere 1% in the UK. This positive correlation is just one example of how teaching it in the curriculum could be very beneficial for kids.
