Is this Space Age Looking Object the Future of Indoor Cycling?

Introducing Ciclotte the so-called future of indoor cycling.

When we saw this picture pop up on our newsfeed this morning, we thought it looked like something out of a space-age movie. And in fact we are not too far off the mark. This Ciclotte Indoor Bicycle did actually appear in sci-fit hit Prometheus.

Apparently this bizarre, unicycle-esq indoor bike is due to be the next big thing. Designed by Italian company Ciclotte, the carbon fibre bike is equipped with a bevy of features that include a proprietary dual satellite epicycloid transmission (whatever that is?!) to maximize resistance; a touch-screen display, which lets you choose between 12 program settings; an adjustable saddle; and a minimalist design meant to mimic your position on a road bike.

All sounds pretty impressive eh? The only one drawback however is the price tag – it is an eye watering  $12,000.
