I love the designs that Foska come out with. Taking British classics and branding them on clothes is a lot of fun. The first thing that strikes me with the jersey is that it is bright and different. My son thought it was brilliant and wears it on and off the bike.
He wore it on a 10 mile spin to start with and it was pretty warm. He is a sweater, but said that he felt comfortable in the jersey, meaning it’s Cool Plus fabric was doing its job.
The jersey has two rear pockets. They are pretty big and my son managed to stuff a peanut butter sandwich and a substantial amount of lego figures in them. He liked the 3/4 zip feature as it helped cool him down when we got our speed up a bit.
The jersey has a drop-tail to the back of it, providing good coverage. We went with the sizing on the website. My son was between the height of a medium and large, so we opted for large. Lets face it, kids grow, and the size was perfect. He is like any 7 year old (all arms and legs) so the fit is loose on him. If we had sized down it would have been snugger, but too short. So if in doubt I would size up, they can only grow into it rather than out for it.
It washes really well. He has not had it too long, but it’s become a favourite to wear a lot. So it’s been washed a good few times and the colour has stayed as bright as the day it arrived.
Verdict
A really cool looking jersey for kids. It’s fun, light and it works well. It functions and washes well, as you would expect. They do them in adult sizes too, so we could be a family of condiments.
