Frog Bikes Launches New Children’s Collection

The new Frog Bikes collection for kids are here and they're awesome!

Let’s face it, nowadays kids get some cool toys and tech that put our 90’s Polly Pockets to absolute shame. So, it’s no surprise that we’re just a little bit envious of the new MTB and hybrid range from Frog Bikes.

The new range, Push The Limits, has been developed to help those children who are ready to progress their riding but aren’t quite ready for an adult geometry. With a range of MTB’s and Hybrid bikes to choose from, not only is the selection vast but careful consideration of design, build and spec have all been turned up a notch.

Frog MTB 62

The MTB 62 is ideal for 8 – 10-year-olds with a minimum inseam measurement of 62cm. Constructed from a lightweight aluminium frame, this bike comes equipped with the ideal set-up for getting your little ripper shredding the trails with confidence and in comfort.

  • Ages: 8 to 10
  • Wheel size: 24″
  • Fork Travel: 65mm
  • Gears: 9
  • Weight: 11.3kg

Frog’s own air-sprung suspension fork offers 65mm of travel with lockout and damping control options. The 1×9 drivetrain offers a variety of gears without additional complication of a double ring in the front or too many gears in the rear. Along with a Tektro braking system, which is available on all models, Frog’s MTB range not only offers all the tools needed to get your child ripping up the trails, but they come with the assurance of capable braking control too.

Available in red/black and blue/black, you can pick up an MTB 62 for £590.

Frog MTB 69

The next model up from the MTB 62 is the MTB 69 from Frog Bikes. A little larger in size, this model is suitable for ages 10 to 12 years.

  • Ages: 10 to 12
  • Wheel size: 26″
  • Fork Travel: 100mm
  • Gears: 9
  • Weight: 11.4kg

The MTB 69 packs a little more punch with an additional 35mm of travel of the smaller 62 model. Providing more travel gives your child a little more confidence to attack bigger features on the trail.

The 26″ wheel size offers greater rolling ability with a larger ground contact area. Like with adult bikes, a greater wheel size can provide more confidence, traction and comfort.

As with the MTB 62, the MTB 69 also comes equipped with Tektro brakes and a 9-speed drivetrain.

The MTB 69 is available in red/black and green/black for £600.

Frog MTB 72

The third and final mountain bike in the new Frog collection is the MTB 72 which is ideal for children over the age of 13 years.

With a similar spec to the MTB 69, this model has much the same but on a bigger frame. The Frog specific forks offer 100mm of travel and come with lockout, damping and rebound control functions as you would expect with an adults bike.

Frog’s MTB 72 is available in red/black and green/black for £610.
