Casual Cycling Clothing Brand Raises Funds for Charity

After just 6 weeks of going live, Velo Sister has been supporting charities with their stylish casual wear

When Velo Sister launches back in May 2016, we were captivated by founder’s Nic Fox’s journey through depression with the aid of a bicycle, and how she wanted to give back to the community.

Real Life Stories: “How cycling helped me battle depression”

Velo Sister began with one mission: to produce stylish casual wear for cyclists whilst donating a proportion of profits to key charities. Once such charity is the Racing Chance Foundation who will receive 50 per cent of the shop’s profits. Fox has also created other designs that raise money for a selection of other specific charities – such as Wheels for Wellbeing and Freedom from Tourture.

“I’m over the moon with how well Velo Sister has been going since I opened in May. In the first 6 weeks of trading it’s raised £469.10 for the charities!” – Nic Fox, Founder of Velo Sister

Just six weeks on, and Velo Sister have already raised over £450 for the nominated charities:

£253.33 has been donated to the Racing Chance Foundation

£116.83 has been donated to Wheels For Wellbeing

£98.94 has been donated to Freedom From Torture

The chain fox design has been the most popular, hence why Racing Chance Foundation has received the largest donation to date. However, Nic tells us she’s just added a new vest to the collection, and children’s t-shirts as well…
