Hackney GT was created by devout weekend racer Russ Jones. Back in 2011 he started out with the simple aim of producing a one-off jersey for his music production company. The vision grew to much more – and now the brand offers a wide range of clothing and accessories. The motto (and hashtag) is #Free_Styling – it’s about being improvised and unrestricted. The kit is all made in the UK, and most of it is a little bit off-the-wall.
For winter, we thought you guys might rather love these…
Hackney GT Alpine 100% Merino Wool Bobble Hat
Available in blue or red (with cream) this 100 per cent Merino wool hat will keep your noggin warm and spread the festive bike riding cheer. The design is exclusive to Hackney GT and the hat itself is knitted in the last (and still family run) knitwear factory in Nottingham, using wool from the Italian company Miroglio. The wool has a TEC (Total Easy Care) treatment allowing the hat to be machine washed on a delicate cycle.
The hat costs £26, and you can see it here.
Hackney GT Socks
Every cyclist likes a good pair of socks. These foot warmers are made from a cotton/polyamide mix, again with exclusive Hackney GT designs. They’re made in England, and there are two sizes available for those size 5-9 and 9-11.
You can pick up a pair for £10, or a set of three for £24 – see them here.
