Silque SSL C Women's Road Bike
The Silque women’s road bikes proved hugely successful last year, and they’re back again for 2016.
Garrison is keen to explain that though they share the unisex Domane bike’s ‘IsoSpeed Decoupler’, they’re not just a ‘men’s Domane’.

The famed decoupler is designed to dampen out road buzz and bumps, making this a machine that’s comfy on long rides. The seat tube can rotate independently of the top tube – providing just enough movement so that you don’t feel every bump like the princess and the pea.

The Silique range starts at £1,500,with a Shimano Tiagra groupset, and goes up to a bit of a pocket aching £3,800, with Shimano Dura Ace Di2.
On the road side, Garrison is keen to point out the changes made to women’s specific frames: “The common story is that women have longer legs and shorter torsos. I have not found a single study that proves that. What we do have is a different centre of gravity. Women often have less core strength, and less muscle mass in their shoulders and arms, so it’s not helpful to have the stretched out over a long frame. However, it comes down to individual fit. Some women will be better on a unisex frame, others will always feel at home on a women’s specific fit.”
