Natural Energy Gel Recipe: Strawberry-Chia Gelly Cubes

It’s time to banish shop bought energy gels and bars and get stuck in the kitchen making your own. Natural energy gels are super easy to make, don’t require a large amount of ingredients and settle much better in your body.

This apple cinnamon energy gel is refreshingly fruity and tastes lovely spread on toast! To store your home-made natural energy gels, you can use freezer bags or buy your own reusable squeeze tubes.

Nothing but natural ingredients to help you perform your best.

  • 8 pitted dates
  • 2 tsp of coconut oil (unrefined)
  • 1 tbsp of honey
  • 5 tbsp of apple juice
  • 1 tbsp of cinnamon

Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.

You can keep adding more apple juice and coconut oil if the mixture gets too thickĀ and more dates if the mixture becomes too runny.

Finish by transferring the natural energy gel into a freezer bag or squeeze tube and pop into the fridge or freezer until needed.
