Ribbon ride is a fundraising event by Breast Cancer Care. Participants are given the option of doing a 26 or 60 mile circular route. The route takes cyclists through the Cotswold’s and Oxfordshire villages.
The event is open to anyone over the age of 16 and cyclists of all abilities are encouraged to take part. It is not a race, and isn’t timed. There are two entry fees, £30 for the 26 mile route, and £35 for 60 miles. All entrants will receive a support pack, a personal rider number, a ribbon to write a personal note on, refreshments and a ribbon ride medal. Limited on the day places are available, riders must go and register at the marquee on arrival to receive a rider number. The Breast Cancer Care Cycling team will lead riders on route to provide support. There are also mechanics at the start and during the ride. Ribbon Ride aims to raise awareness of the disease as well as raise much needed funds for the charity. Spectators, friends and family are encouraged to come to the event to show support, and everyone is welcome.
