Breakthrough Breast Cancer started the London to Cambridge ride in order to raise all important funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Registration for the ride costs just £49 and participants are set a fundraising target of £300.
Each rider who signs up to become part of Team Breakthrough is given a pink t-shirt to wear during their ride, a fundraising pack and support from the Breakthrough events team. The 100km route leaves from London, with full support on route to Cambridge. The ride first started off during the day, but now Breakthrough has given cyclists the opportunity to do the iconic ride at night. It is a mass participation ride giving people of all abilities the chance to join in and raise money for charity.
Riders can enter individually or as part of a team and are given a breakfast once they finish the ride. There are rest stops and support during the ride, and cyclists are encouraged to take their time and do it at their own pace.
