Cycle Assist competition winner announced

Late last month we teamed up with Cycle Assist UK and gave you the chance to win £250 worth of Evans Cycles vouchers, by just offering up your safety advice for beginner cyclists. We can now reveal who the lucky winner is.

We posed the question ‘What’s the best piece of safety advice you would give a beginner cyclist?’ We were inundated with responses, so we’re going to share the answers with you to help keep you safe in the saddle, but in the mean time, the lucky winner is… (scroll down!)

The winner of the Cycle Assist UK safety competition is;

Laura Coombs

With her straight talking safety advice for beginner cyclists:

Stay visible, and don’t ride in the gutters – you’ve every right to ride the road as well as cars.

Your prize Laura is a voucher for £250 voucher for Evans Cycles, to spend on whatever you fancy. You could go for a jacket, lights and mudguards to get winter-ready, or waterproof panniers and racks to transport your possessions safely through the wet weather. Whatever you pick, enjoy pedalling away with your new purchases.

Not won this time? Don’t panic, we have plenty of competitions in the pipeline, including more bikes. In the mean time, why not enter one of the following competitions;

Win a pair of prescription cycling sunglasses courtesy of extreme-eyewear.co.uk

We have two pairs to give away, and all you have to do to enter is to decide which pair you would prefer. The brands to giveaway include Oakley and Rudy Project. Those will definitely keep your eyes both protected and looking good!
