With 24 docks in total across the UK, the company has expanded rapidly. And best news of all – it is ridiculously easy to use. You simply register on the Brompton Dock site to get started. Then when you want to use a bike, you reserve it either online or by text message.
Each rental is based on a 24-hour period from the moment you take the bike. Once in your possession you can take it to work, home for the evening, out for dinner and of course on all public transport. In fact it is perfect if you have friends visiting and you want to bring them sightseeing! You can even rent it for a longer period and take it away for the weekend.
You can keep the bike got as long as you need it, you simply reserve a bay and return it to any public dock once you are finished with it.
The bikes in question are the ML3 model and come complete with Dynamo lights, 3 gears, a telescopic seat post, a carrier block for Brompton front luggage, mudguards, bell and a pump.
You’ll be glad to hear that this service does not cost an arm and a leg, daily hire starts at just £2.50:
