New Chamois Panties Styles From Urbanist

Four new patterns and styles in these ace knickers for cyclists

Urbanist launched their ‘Chamois Panties’ via a Kickstarter page in 2013 – and the attractive knickers with built-in cycling specific pads went down a storm.

A eureka moment concept from Christiana Guzman, the pants came in two designs: the Brigette boy short, with thicker pad, and the sightly slimmer line Bettie.

We were mega impressed with the idea, and the delivery. As contributor Adele Mitchell put it in her review: “Imagine you have secured yourself a cycling date with the man of your dreams.  A couple of circuits of the park and a few beers later, then its back to yours and the realisation that it’s impossible to remove a pair of cycling shorts in a seductive fashion…

“Or what if you just like wearing nice pants and riding your bike? Or want something discreet but effective to wear beneath workout gear for your spin class? Hurrah! Here comes Bettie to solve every one of these pressing women’s cycling issues!”

The good news is that despite their instant success, Urbanist haven’t rested on their laurels – and they’ve added a selection of new designs to the range. All versions come in at £45, exactly the same as the original pants, and feature a quality built-in Italian chamois.

The pretty and practical knickers are exclusively available from VeloVixen – who recently ran a poll to see which of the new options were most popular. The polka dot print came out on top, followed by leopard print in close second – would you agree?

Poka Dot Chamois Panties

This was the most popular option in VeloVixen’s email poll, and we do have to admit we are partial to a spotty pattern.

A similar shape the the Brigette, these provide a medium coverage – enough that you’re definitely sorted in the event of unplanned exposure when cycling in a skirt on a windy day...

Leopard Print Chamois Panties

Who doesn’t love a little touch of leopard print from time to time? This bold design offers the same coverage as the Brigette.  Wear wisely –  they might well bring out animal instincts – and you don’t want to be late for work. Too often.

Daisy Chamois Panties

The Daisy design offers a fuller coverage and comes with a pretty pink pattern. There’s a kind-of-cute little peep hole which adds a touch of style without even a tiny-weeny hint of Ann Summers (that’s what the Bettie is for).

Mint Swag Chamois Panties

Why is it that reading ‘Mint Swag’ makes us want to start singing ‘Moves Like Jagger’ into a hairbrush, whilst dancing around the house in fluffy slippers?

Ok – it might just be us. Regardless, like the Daisy print, these offer a fuller coverage with a cute bit of ruching on the bum and a fresh colour scheme that makes us dream of days in spring.

Like the look of these? Check them out at VeloVixen – we’re told they’re selling fast so don’t hang around too long!
