Eurobike 2016: The Commute Gallery

Just some of the cool commuter kit from the halls in Friedrichshafen..

Every year, the cycling world descends upon Friedrichshafen in Germany for the annual display of all things velo that is ‘Eurobike’.

As UK riders are absorbing the last weeks of British summer, dealers, brands (and cycling journalists) gather to discuss the new creations set to thrill customers for the following year.

The show kicked off today, and we’ve been busy scurrying around the halls to pick out our favourite new additions to the 2017 market.

For commuters – there is A LOT. Electric bikes are big news, as are electric folding bikes for those who want the ultimate in convenience. And every brand wants to show you the best light or the coolest looking helmet.

We’ll be constantly updating our albums (you’ll notice we’ve not ever STARTED on bikes yet) – so keep coming back – here’s what we’ve spotted so far…

Egg Helmets looking cool as ever - buy the base and customise with replaceable covers
Tannus are always at shows and we always make a mental note to contact them and try their tubeless solid tyres

You probably can't buy this - but you can look at it
You can even look up close...
With electric bikes in Europe now able to travel up to 30 miles per hour, safety requirements are increasing too. Lazer have created a helmet to meet the impending requirements.
