You’ve got two options – you can scrub away with a toothbrush and degreaser, and you’ll eventually have a shiny chain. Alternatively, you can use a chain cleaner, which costs about £15.
With a chain cleaner, all you need to do is fill the reservoir with degreaser, snap it on to the chain, and turn one pedal backwards. The process takes around 60 seconds and the result is always stunningly shiny.
