There’s no question about it, Rachel Atherton is Queen of the Mountains. Having finished a record breaking perfect race season and hosted the biggest women’s mass start event, Rachel’s contribution to the the women’s mountain bike scene is enormous, but now she needs your help.

Although mountain biking is becoming more mainstream, it’s still a long way off from the likes of athletics, road cycling and dressage. If Rachel Atherton had the same success in another (more popular) sporting field, she’d be a National Treasure and household name.

It’s voting time for the BT Sports Action Woman Awards 2016, and Rachel is up against some stiff competition. Currently in the lead is dressage rider, Charlotte Dujardin, and our mountain woman is hot on her hooves in 2nd place.
