A shocking video started doing the rounds on the internet yesterday which saw a man in a suit hurl abuse at a female cyclist, stating that cyclists “deserve to die” because of their behaviour on the roads.
The encounter happened last Friday as the cyclist was pushing her bike along a pavement in South Kensington, London. After the stranger approached her asking if he could tell her a joke, the conversation immediately turned sour. The man states, “What’s the connection between cyclists and Freddie Mercury from Queen?” and then goes on to say “another one bites the dust”.
His foul behaviour continues as he then goes on to rant about cyclists being the problem on the roads, not car drivers; “Well cyclists are their own worst enemy. They deserve to die! they are incompetent.”
The brave cyclist kept her cool throughout, defending herself and other cyclists in a calm manner against his backlash, stating that “it goes both ways, you can’t just use broad brush strokes”.
She had her helmet camera on the entire time and caught all the footage from the heated conversation.
