It has been announced that double Olympic Champion Joanna Rowsell will headline the British squad for the UCI Track World Championships in Paris from the 18-22 February.

Joining Rowsell in the women’s endurance line-up will be fellow team persuiters Katie Archibald, Elinor Barker and Laura Trott along with Ciara Horne. The women’s team pursuit will look to win the title for the fifth year in a row.

Leading the sprint for the ladies will be Jess Varnish, Victoria Williamson and Katy Marchant.

Technical director Shane Sutton OBE said: “We’ve placed a big focus on this event as our aim is to qualify Olympic points as quickly as possible and I’m keen to see some strong results across the board.”
