Alexandra Wohlgensinger gives us a quick overview about the girls only camps:
Spend an unforgettable time together with other bike-loving women, motivate each other, experience exciting terrain and challenges, and most importantly have a hell lot of fun! That’s the goal of the ‘Ride Like A girl’ women’s cycling weeks, happening for the first time this winter season at Switchbacks Holidays in Southern Spain.
Essential MTB Holiday Checklist
Four camps take place in the Downhill area around Malaga and the two Enduro-specific weeks are located in the beautiful area of Alpujarra in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. All this, without the air filled with testosterone and irritated boyfriends stressing you.
The tracks around Malaga are everything but bike park: they are all natural, and in the DH-location partly pimped with features like jumps, berms and drops. The terrain is suited to intermediate riding skills but you’ll get support, guidance, tips and tricks galore from the Alex, the Girl-Guide, and with the support of the rest of the group you’ll mater those challenges in no time. A week out there and your riding abilities will improve a lot!
