You can never have enough gloves right? One to wear and one in the wash as they say! Dare2b are a division of regatta and are well know for making good kit. Their Profile Cycle Mitts look great, but performance is key.
I got to try a size medium, and whilst they did fit, I found them a little loose so they bunched up at certain points on my hands. I think a small would have made for a snugger fit, so watch the sizing.
As far as the glove itself goes, it is really comfortable when sitting on your handlebars. The back is made from a stretchy fabric that allows full movement to brake and change gears. The palms have well positioned pads and grips, meaning no sore bits. I have to say these worked really well on a 50 mile ride, I had no pain whatsoever.
They claim to have “complimented…venting zones”. These are small holes around the palms and fingers, and the mesh like material on the tops. These worked to some extent, but cycling in 20 degrees (plus) makes for sweaty palms no mater what the ventilation.
The gloves have finger pulls on two of the fingers on the gloves for getting them off. I loved this feature as getting wet gloves off is a right pain, as is them ending up inside out!
VerdictThe gloves function really well and look great. The padded palms do exactly as you want and keep you from getting achy hands.
Watch out for sizing as they come up a little on the big side.
