A year after falling pregnant with baby Max, Sally Bigham, is raring to go as she makes a return to racing this year with the Canyon Topeak team.
The British mountain bike athlete, Sally Bigham, will make her racing comeback following the birth of her child in January this year. Canyon Topeak Factory Racing Team Manager, Erik Kleinhans, welcomes her return; “Sally is the longest standing member of our team, so it will be great to have her back together with us after having her baby and have a lovely feminine spirit back in the race camp! I’m also excited to see her race after already working hard to get back in her best shape.”
“I cannot wait to compete again. The first few races will mainly be a test to see where I’m at with my form. I was on the bike four weeks after giving birth but my last race was in October 2016, so naturally it will take some time before I’m back at my top level.” – Sally Bigham
Competing on Canyon bikes since 2009, Sally has taken the title at legendary races like the Leadville 100 in addition to two World Championship silver medals and five national marathon titles. Canyon Pro Sports Manager, Andreas Walzer, looks forward to more success from the 40-year-old, “I’m convinced that Sally will get back up-to-speed quickly after the birth of her baby. In fact, I think she’ll be even stronger than before, there’s a reason why we all call her ‘Iron Sally’!”
