For a number of years the Tour de Force ran informally with the Tour de France epic cycling race and now, after years of working together, their relationship has become official with the Tour de Force now changing its name to Le Loop.
Le Loop offers you the opportunity to ride every stage of the iconic Tour de France ahead of the main event. A limited number of entries are available for this incredible ride which will be led by the Trans-continental winner, Emily Chappell for 2018.
“I’m really excited to have been invited to be the new lead cyclist for the amazing Le Loop” – Emily Chappell
Emily goes on to talk about Le Loop as being “a charity cycle ride that follows the entire route of the Tour de France, one week ahead of the pros. Riders take on the challenge of riding from 2 to all 21 stages of Le Tour, while fundraising for the William Wates Memorial Trust that gives grants to charities that work with the most disadvantaged young people in the UK and France, helping them to achieve their true potential and keep away from a life of crime and violence. I cycled with them for 4 stages this July and I can’t wait to get out there and ride the full tour with them as lead cyclist next year.”
Fancy having a go yourself and joining Le Loop for 2018? There are a number of packages to choose from so if doing all 21 stages sounds a little much, then you can opt for the ‘semi’ or ‘petit’ course options which provide a perfect taster.
With some early-bird places available now, full sales of the course go on sale later this year in November once the course route has been released by organisers ASO.
