World Naked Bike Ride Dates Announced for 2018

Bare if you dare, and pedal out there

Dates for the highly anticipated World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) events in the UK have been released. Since its formation over ten years ago, the motto of the peaceful protest has been simple: “to deliver a vision of a cleaner, safer, body-positive world”.

Over the course of the years, these city-based cycle events have evolved into a creative festival where cyclists, artists, musicians and enthusiasts come together to cycle the streets. You can ride totally nude, partially, or in fancy dress, the choice is yours… and the British weather!

With over 50 countries across the world taking part in this mass event, the UK have released their 2018 schedule:

This peaceful worldwide mass event has been growing in numbers and popularity over the years. While event organisers aim to “demonstrate the vulnerability of cyclists, highlight the unique dangers they face, and promote a healthy body image”, there are some that feel it’s a step too far and has been deemed inappropriate in the UK.

Do you dare to go bare this year? Tell us your thoughts about the World Naked Bike Ride events: Is it acceptable, or a step too far? Share your comments, we’d love to know.
