Stage 3 of the Friends Life Women’s Tour: What to Expect

Gearing up for a day of action ahead

Stage 2 of the inaugural Friends Life Womens Tour saw rain, rain and more rain. This resulted in tricky riding conditions for the girls. Today however, the sun is splitting the stones in Felixtowe and with everything still left to play for, we predict that the riders will up the ante on stage 3!

Stage 2: Full Race Report

Here is what you can expect from the day ahead.

Distance:  86.8km

The Route:

Stage three sees a move to East Anglia with the start at the port town of Felixstowe in Suffolk. The route heads inland, through Ipswich city centre before making its way back to the coast for the finish at the seaside resort of Clacton-on-Sea.

Sprints:  Little Bealings and Thorpe le Soken

Queen of the Mountain points: Freston and Holbrook.
