One of the best things about a really good bib short is that they can transform your riding experience completely. For those who have had the displeasure of riding in uncomfortable shorts, you will know there is simply nothing worse. On the opposite side of the spectrum though, is the feeling of elation you get when you find that perfect pair.
And I have to say that this is exactly what happened with the Liv Signature Bib Shorts. In fact I think they’re the only other bib short that comes close to my all time favourite, the Chapeau Pave bib short.
Popping the Liv Signature bib shorts on, I knew instantly it was a winner. The size medium fit my UK10 frame perfectly. The fabric was super soft yet rigid enough that I knew it would give me support while riding and the seamless bib straps were divine. Coming up the middle of the shorts, over the belly and then on to the shoulders you don’t even know they are there.
The chamois also performed impressively. Breaking it in over two long rides on consecutive days, it kept my bottom pain free for the duration. It was also really breathable and there was no pesky stitching in any of the wrong places.

In addition to the high level performance of this bib short, it also looks fantastic. Both colour options come with a lavender colour of one leg and a either a multi-coloured pattern or more subdued black and white pattern on the other leg. Matching jerseys, gloves, rain jackets and gilets are also available if you want to complete the entire look.
Sizes: XS-XXL
Verdict:
This short is a great all-rounder. It is incredibly comfortable, breathable and the chamois is second to none. Beware though, the Liv Signature Bib shorts are a little on the pricey side.
