Here at Total Women’s Cycling, we make it our mission to hunt down the best cycling events for ladies, so we wanted to share an exciting new development from Rapha.
As today marks International Women’s Day, Rapha are celebrating with the announcement of the Rapha Women’s 100 ride happening on the 7th of July 2013.
The 7th July is the date of the Etape du Tour, the amateur cyclist’s chance to ride a major mountain stage of the 100th edition of the Tour de France. The aim is to create a global event, with thousands of women taking to the road to complete a 100km journey.
Not only are Rapha sending 100 lucky women to ride the sportive, which will form part of the day’s festival of riding, but they are also aiming to get as many women around the world to cycle 100km on that day too.
The Rapha Women’s 100 has been created to gather a global community of women around the world to take part in a shared adventure.
Leading up to the events on the 7th July, Rapha’s blog will feature stories from the women riding the 100km. There’s sure to be some interesting reading as riders of all abilities will be sharing their training experiences and goals of riding the 100km.
