World Champion Pauline Ferrand-Prévot Abandons Cyclocross Season with Injury

Once triple Champion will be out of competition for at least six weeks

We were sad to hear that UCI Cyclocross Champion Pauline Ferrand-Prévot has been injured in training and will not be able to continue racing the season.

The young rider had a sensational 2014-2015, and was for some time the World Champion in Road, Cyclocross and Cross Country Mountain Bike.

Her team, Rabo-Liv announced the injury, tweeting:

The French rider was sitting in 9th on the UCI Cyclocross Ranking, with 1110 points. Currently the first placed rider is Belgium’s Sanne Cant with 2230 points to her name.

We wish the 23-year-old all the best with her recovery, and look forward to seeing her race with team mate Marianne Vos, also returning from injury, in 2016.
