Want to get more protein in your diet, but aren’t up for endless protein shakes?
This summer protein cramming experts Dr Zak’s introduced a brand new option for you: in the form of a selection of interesting sounding peanut spreads.
Each hybrid Peanut spread is mixed with a secondary flavour – options include Salted Caramel, Apple and Cinnamon, Cherry Bakewell and Fresh Raspberry.
The mixed spreads are still “jammed full of high quality protein” according to Dr Zak, and are also free from palm oil and artificial sweeteners, as well as being Vegetarian Society approved.
For the beefy protein boost, they use “next generation partially-hydrolysed whey protein isolate”, which in human languaged means it’s easier and faster for your body to absorb the 36g of protein each 100g of the nut butter contains.
On top of all of that, these spreads are made in the UK, under the watchful eye of Zak Pallikaros, a nutritional expert with a degree in Medicinal Chemistry, Bio Technology and Bio Chemistry and a Doctorate from the Royal Free Medical School.
Dr Zak’s High Protein Peanut Spreads are available in health stores throughout the UK and from www.musclefood.com. They cost £6.99 for a 450g jar and flavours include Fresh Raspberry, Salted Caramel, White Chocolate and Coconut, Apple and Cinnamon, and Cherry Bakewell.
Dr Zak’s also offer protein bagels among their selection – read more about the options here.
