Excitement Mounts for Women’s Tour as First Promotional Video is Released

The Women's Tour will be the first women's international level stage race in the UK

To say we are excited for the Women’s Tour which is due to take place from 7-11 May is an understatement. And today our excitement was heightened even further as the first promotional video for the event was released.

The Women’s Tour is the first International level stage race to be held in Britain and will showcase the very best riders in the world, fronted of course by the plethora of talent we have right here in the UK.

The race will consist of five point to point road stages in the East of England. In addition to the calibre of athletes in attendance, the event has gained further credibility thanks to the 2.1 ranking awarded to it by the UCI (the sport’s governing body). This is the highest ranking awarded to any women’s event and places it in the same league as world class events such as the Tour of Qatar, Giro Rosa and La Route de France.

The Women’s Tour will take place from Wednesday 7 to Sunday 11 May 2014:

Wednesday 7 May, Stage One: Oundle to Northampton
Thursday 8 May, Stage Two: Hinckley to Bedford
Friday 9 May, Stage Three: Felixstowe to Clacton
Saturday 10 May, Stage Four: Cheshunt to Welwyn Garden City
Sunday 11 May, Stage Five: Harwich to Bury St Edmunds
