Bugati’s New Road Bike is Ultra Light, and Ultra Pricey

Better start saving now...

It seems that dominating the luxury car market isn’t enough for the speedsters of Bugati as they’ve branched into a new mode of transportation. Aside from a foray into expensive yachts, which are absurdly priced at £2 million a pop, Bugati’s new road bike is a fraction of the price, but still unattainable to many.

The supercar manufacturers have teamed up with luxury bicycle brand PG to develop a road bike like no other. Over 95% of the bike is constructed from high-quality carbon fiber, which helps keep the weight extremely low at less than 11 lbs / 5kgs.

The handlebars are equipped with shock absorbers to improve comfort and reduce feedback from the road. The frame, fork, rims, handlebar, seat, seat post, crank and brake are made of the highest quality carbon fibre available in today’s market.

Perhaps the most important feature – and quirk – of the new Bugati PG bike is that it’s fully customisable with paint and leather trim to match your Bugati car, of course.

Sadly, Bugati state that: “The special bike is a piece of sports equipment which is not intended to be used on public roads”. Perhaps a lovely piece of wall art then? Seeing at the previous Bugati bike experiment retailed at $39,000, this new model is priced at ‘upon request only’ – I think that says it all.
