MTB Events: Get Ready. Temtiwr Women’s MTB Weekend is Coming…

Temtiwr : Tempter “One who tempts.”

When: 9th – 10th September 2017
Where: Coed y Brenin

Who fancies a weekend of coaching, riding, workshops and fun with a group of mountain bike women, oh and Tracy Moseley, of course?

Coed y Brenin will be the venue hosting an action packed women’s MTB weekend in September. Beics Brenin, Natural Resources Wales, Welsh Cycling and Dyfi Events have put together this incredible event which will include plenty of activities and fun for women who love to ride.

This event is open to women over the age of 16 regardless of ability as Coed y Brenin’s network of trails caters for the novice beginners to the hardcore gnarly shredders.

Saturday at Temtiwr

“The event offers women the opportunity to socialise, meet new friends and to experience the joys of mountain biking on some of the most scenic trails in North Wales.” – Gaynor Davis, Welsh Cycling

Temtiwr will begin with a chilled and informal guided ride on Saturday to ease you into the weekend of activities. If you want to limber up beforehand, riders have the option of arriving early for a pre-ride yoga session led by local yoga instructor and MTB guide Polly Clark.

In the evening, the visitor centre will host a screening of a mystery film which will be confirmed closer to the date. A hot meal is available prior to the film screening by pre-booking with your event ticket.

Sunday at Temtiwr

Sunday morning will kick off with introductions before heading off into the coaching sessions and workshops where riders can hone their skills, and learn a thing or two about performance boosting techniques.

A lunchtime buffet will be served where you can refuel your body and let all the skills sink in, whilst socialising and sharing experiences with the group.

Sunday afternoon will continue with grouped rides, offering those who feel ready, the chance to sample route sections from the forthcoming Coed Y Brenin Enduro. A new shorter route option will be added to the event this year, providing a stepping stone for those wanting to take on one of the longer routes in future years.

Tracy Moseley at Temtiwr

After the Sunday afternoon ride, there will be an afternoon tea break before the Q&A session begins with legendary mountain bike rider, Tracy Moseley.

The Q&A session offers the chance for Tracy to share her experiences from taking her first steps in the sport, to competing on the world stage, a journey to inspire and inform all women in the sport of mountain biking.

Interested in attending? Of course, you are. The event costs £25 per person, with optional extras available too. You can register your interest here.
